Man arrested for allegedly robbing Ramona resident taking out trash

Sheriff deputy s patch Photo credit OnScene TV A man was in custody Sunday on suspicion of threatening another man with a metal pole and robbing him in Ramona Around a m Sunday a resident of Terre at Oak Apartments who was taking out trash in the block of th Street was approached by the suspect according to the San Diego County Sheriff s Office The suspect identified as -year-old Ruben Jimenez Jr approached the man with a metal pole and demanded his wallet He then fled with the wallet the man handed him according to authorities The victim filed a review with the sheriff s office and later in the day saw him a minimal blocks away outside a Bank of America in the block of Main Street and informed authorities Sheriff s deputies responded to the scene and took Jimenez into custody Detectives served a search warrant and when they searched his home they allegedly exposed the motorcycle inferred to have been used in the robbery and also recovered the metal pole and the victim s wallet Jimenez was arrested for suspicion of robbery and resisting arrest He was booked into the San Diego Central Jail City News System contributed to this article
