A San Diego Police cruiser Photo by Chris Stone Times of San Diego Two pedestrians attempting to cross a street in the Teralta West neighborhood of San Diego suffered serious injuries when they were struck by a car The crash occurred at p m Saturday at nd Street and Orange Avenue according to San Diego Police Officer J Perales A -year-old woman and a -year-old man were trying to cross from the north sidewalk of Orange Avenue to the south side while inside the crosswalk when they were struck by a Hyundai Elantra driven by a -year-old woman northbound on nd Street Perales declared The female pedestrian suffered a broken pelvis and had pain in her legs and back and the man had head injuries and pain in his neck the officer mentioned The Hyundai driver remained at the scene Alcohol was not deduced a factor in the crash Perales commented but it was unclear why the crash occurred City News Amenity
